Trinity History
Since 1997 David has been in the insurance industry, morphing from an insurance generalist to a specialist. He started his young career with Insurance Placement Service in Bemidji, now Insure Forward. Having absolutely no experience in the industry but plenty of experience with customer service at the family-run resort, customer care, and service were second nature to him. With the guidance of many mentors, most notably, the late Robert “Tom Landry” McGowan, David's career was started.
A move to Brainerd from Bemidji for Insurance Placement Service in 2000 and the opening of the Brainerd Office led to a new opportunity. Falling on hard times, Insurance Placement Service was forced to close its office, and David was left looking for answers. This led to the partnership with Gary Walters and the formation of Fiducia Benefits Group Inc. What started as a small venture managing benefits for 5 customers with 300 employees led to over 100 customers with 5000 employees by the end of 2019. During this time, David's wife Christine Bergin had started Account Sense Bookkeeping and Payroll LLC. Desiring to combine forces and offer more services to their group of clients, Trinity Business Partners Inc. was formed in late 2019.

Before finding his passion for the insurance field, Dave worked in the construction field for Christian Brothers Construction and Enbridge Pipeline, and he worked as a part-time sales rep for Cellular 2000. While working for Cellular 2000, he was setting up a new account for an insurance agency in Bemidji when he was approached by one of the owners of Insurance Placement Services. This was in 1997 and the start of a new career for Dave and the one he continues with today.
Dave worked with Insurance Placement Services for three years as their leading top sales representative and eventually opened an office in Brainerd. Eventually, the company hit hard times and cuts were made, so in 2000 Dave and another agent joined together and formed Fiducia Benefits Group. Dave and his business partner ran Fiducia for 19 years and eventually parted ways in 2020. Later in 2020, Trinity Business Partner came to be, and was a merger of Dave’s insurance business and his wife’s, Chris, bookkeeping business. They were already serving several of the same clients, so this merger was a logical move.
Dave also loves giving back to his community, he has served as a volunteer coach for youth wrestling, soccer, and judo for over 25 years. Many of his prior players are now coaches, a fact he is most proud of. He has also served and continues to serve on several boards in the area:
- The LAHRA Board, Lakes Area Human Resource Association; past president
- The Brainerd Community Education Board; board liaison
- The Sertoma Club; club officer
- BNI International; club chairperson
When not working or serving his community, Dave and his family have a working farm down in Fort Ripley, where they are raising hay, cattle, a small herd of horses and a flock of unique chickens. Dave and Chris enjoy tending to their farm and going to their kids’ various sporting and equestrian events. They also take an annual scuba diving trip to Mexico as a welcome relief when the snow is deeper than they want it to be!
Chris Bergin
Executive Accountant and Owner
Chris received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The College of St. Scholastica and has over 25 years of experience in banking, bookkeeping, payroll and accounting services. She believes in treating other’s businesses like it’s her own. She has personal ownership experience due to creating several businesses with her husband, Dave. Together they have created Trinity Business Partners Inc, Walberg Properties LLC DBA Shady Creek Resort on Mille Lacs, Huntly B Holdings LLC, and Round Rock Farm. Prior to starting Trinity Business Partners Inc, she created Account Sense Bookkeeping and Payroll, LLC, a successful bookkeeping & payroll company which has merged into Trinity Business Partners Inc.
She is passionate about her community and is involved with several local businesses including 100+ Women Who Care, Kinship Partners, Joyce Meyer Ministries, Timber Bay Ministries, Timberwood Church, and 104.3 The Pulse. Chris also holds a position on the Mounted Eagles Board of Directors.
Chris has a strong conviction that good leaders don’t rush, intimidate, or pressure others into doing a good job. Rather, a good leader will invest their time to figure out what that person needs to learn or what support they need right now to become their best selves. It is an approach she utilizes with her clients and employees to set them up for success; knowing that if they are successful, she is successful.
A native of the Brainerd Lakes area, Chris graduated from Pine River High School and currently resides on a farm in Fort Ripley with her husband, Dave, and their two children, Hunter and Holly. She loves to support her children in all the sports they participate in, and her family owns a variety of horses including Quarter Horses, Shetlands, and Paints. Not only does she enjoy horseback riding for leisure, but she also utilizes her horses to grow her leadership and partnership skills.
When she’s not working you can find her kayaking, reading, traveling, camping with her horses, enjoying God’s beautiful outdoors and animals on horseback, and enjoying a good cup of coffee or glass of red wine.

Stacy graduated with honors in Accounting from Central Lakes College and has over 25 years of experience working in the Finance and Accounting industry. She is a business professional that provides accounting support with a high level of organization and top-notch customer service. Stacy has owned her own business and understands the importance of keeping timely and accurate records.
She is passionate about helping others and is a Certified Oola Life Coach & Oola Ambassador, assisting individuals in recognizing their life’s dreams & goals while helping them get past the challenges they face.
Stacy grew up in Ironton Minnesota and is a married mother of four. When she is not helping clients, she enjoys a good cup of coffee and spending time with family and friends.

Brandy Yetzer

Brandy has nearly 30 years of experience in office and customer service work. She has worked for Trinity Business Partners since October of 2020, and attained her health insurance license in 2022. She has an array of business knowledge ranging from software programs to best administrative practices and has a willingness to not only learn new skills but to also share what knowledge she has.
She moved onto 70-acres in the Brainerd lakes area in 2003 from Clearwater, MN with her husband and daughter. She is originally from the Mesabi Iron Range where she grew up in a tightknit family who spent a lot of time in the woods hiking and berry picking. Brandy, her husband, and their two adult-teen children love to spend quality time together watching movies, pontooning on their tiny lake, berry picking, fishing, canoeing, and caring for their horse, two cats, and one dog.
Debby Hoel
Licensed Benefits Agent and Human Resource Advisor
In an ever-changing workplace, Debby is the partner to call for Benefits and Human Resource guidance. With over 30 years of Business and Human Resource Management experience, Debby draws upon her knowledge to help companies build strong leaders and employee engagement. She does this by creating attractive benefit programs, and by guiding management on navigating employment practices and employee performance. Debby is also a Licensed Insurance Agent for Life, Accident & Health.
Debby’s heart lies within the Manufacturing business community in the Brainerd Lakes Area in Minnesota. She currently serves as President of the Lakes Area Manufacturers Alliance whose mission is to encourage students to engage in careers in manufacturing and to provide networking opportunities for area manufacturing leaders.
Debby loves northern Minnesota where she resides with her husband, enjoying their home on the lake, wildlife, family, and friends.
Nicholle Dean

Nicholle has over 25 years of experience with customer service gaining much of this from being a municipal worker, and working for both Nonprofit and Corporate entities where she gained a wide array of valuable knowledge. Nicholle is committed to maintaining strong working relations with employees, departments, and agencies. Starting from a young age, Nicholle has been committed to performing at a top level wherever she works and why the principal rule in her life is that hard work is the most important factor in leading to success.
Nicholle grew up in the Twin Cities and moved to the area over 19 years ago. She enjoys the warmer months of the year where she can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, and some of her favorite pastimes are hiking, running, golfing, and paddle boarding especially if it is somewhere along the beautiful Northshore. Nicholle values time with her daughter, family, friends, and beloved dog.
Braeden Mathern
CSR and Licensed Group Benefits Agent
Braeden has nearly a decade of customer service and insurance industry experience, starting right out of college in the supplemental benefits world. He was a manager for about 3 years before he decided to spread his wings and join the Trinity team in July of 2023. Braeden has a great knowledge of group benefits and individual life policies, and has his Life/Accident & Health Licenses. If he doesn’t know the answer, he will make sure he finds it. Braeden has a fantastic work ethic.
Braeden grew up in a small town in North Dakota on a dairy farm. Braeden is in the Army National Guard and has been overseas twice. Braeden and his wife got married in May 2023 and will be expecting their first child this year! Braeden enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring new trails with their dog, playing golf, and learning new ways to make homemade food.
