Our seasoned staff has the knowledge and experience to guide you with the plans and services you need to meet your end goal. Each staff member comes with years of experience in their areas of expertise, making it easy for you to feel comfortable that you are in good hands.
Our goal is to be your combined source for Employee Benefits Management, Payroll/Bookkeeping Services, Human Resources Support Services, and Individual Benefits Management.

Trinity History
Since 1997 David has been in the insurance industry, morphing from an insurance generalist to a specialist. He started his young career with Insurance Placement Service in Bemidji, now Insure Forward. Having absolutely no experience in the industry but plenty of experience with customer service at the family-run resort, customer care, and service were second nature to him. With the guidance of many mentors, most notably, the late Robert “Tom Landry” McGowan, David's career was started.
A move to Brainerd from Bemidji for Insurance Placement Service in 2000 and the opening of the Brainerd Office led to a new opportunity. Falling on hard times, Insurance Placement Service was forced to close its office, and David was left looking for answers. This led to the partnership with Gary Walters and the formation of Fiducia Benefits Group Inc. What started as a small venture managing benefits for 5 customers with 300 employees led to over 100 customers with 5000 employees by the end of 2019. During this time, David's wife Christine Bergin had started Account Sense Bookkeeping and Payroll LLC. Desiring to combine forces and offer more services to their group of clients, Trinity Business Partners Inc. was formed in late 2019.

Our Staff
David Bergin
Employee Benefits and Owner
Prior to discovering his true calling in the insurance industry, Dave held part-time sales positions with Cellular 2000 and worked in the construction industry for Christian Brothers Construction and Enbridge Pipeline. While working for Cellular 2000, he was setting up a new account for an insurance agency in Bemidji when he was approached by one of the owners of Insurance Placement Services. This was in 1997, and it marked the beginning of Dave's current career.
Dave worked with Insurance Placement Services for three years as their leading top sales representative and eventually opened an office in Brainerd. Eventually, the company hit hard times and cuts were made, so in 2000 Dave and another agent joined together and formed Fiducia Benefits Group. Dave and his business partner ran Fiducia for 19 years and eventually parted ways in 2020. Later in 2020, Trinity Business Partner came to be, and was a merger of Dave’s insurance business and his wife’s, Chris, bookkeeping business. They were already serving several of the same clients, so this merger was a logical move.
Dave also loves giving back to his community, he has served as a volunteer coach for youth wrestling, soccer, and judo for over 25 years. Many of his prior players are now coaches, a fact he is most proud of. He has also served and continues to serve on several boards in the area:
- The LAHRA Board, Lakes Area Human Resource Association; past president
- The Brainerd Community Education Board; board liaison
- The Sertoma Club; club officer
- BNI International; club chairperson
When not working or serving his community, Dave and his family have a working farm down in Fort Ripley, where they are raising hay, cattle, a small herd of horses and a flock of unique chickens. Dave and Chris enjoy tending to their farm and going to their kids’ various sporting and equestrian events. They also take an annual scuba diving trip to Mexico as a welcome relief when the snow is deeper than they want it to be!
Chris Bergin
Executive Accountant and Owner
Chris received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The College of St. Scholastica and has over 25 years of experience in banking, bookkeeping, payroll and accounting services. She believes in treating other’s businesses like it’s her own. She has personal ownership experience due to creating several businesses with her husband, Dave. Together they have created Trinity Business Partners Inc, Walberg Properties LLC DBA Shady Creek Resort on Mille Lacs, Huntly B Holdings LLC, and Round Rock Farm. Prior to starting Trinity Business Partners Inc, she created Account Sense Bookkeeping and Payroll, LLC, a successful bookkeeping & payroll company which has merged into Trinity Business Partners Inc.
She is passionate about her community and is involved with several local businesses, including 100+ Women Who Care, Kinship Partners, Joyce Meyer Ministries, Timber Bay Ministries, Timberwood Church, and 104.3 The Pulse. Chris also holds a position on the Mounted Eagles Board of Directors.
Chris has a strong conviction that good leaders don’t rush, intimidate, or pressure others into doing a good job. Rather, a good leader will invest their time to figure out what that person needs to learn or what support they need right now to become their best selves. It is an approach she utilizes with her clients and employees to set them up for success; knowing that if they are successful, she is successful.
A native of the Brainerd Lakes area, Chris graduated from Pine River High School and currently resides on a farm in Fort Ripley with her husband, Dave, and their two children, Hunter and Holly. She loves to support her children in all the sports they participate in, and her family owns a variety of horses including Quarter Horses, Shetlands, and Paints. Not only does she enjoy horseback riding for leisure, but she also utilizes her horses to grow her leadership and partnership skills.
When she’s not working you can find her kayaking, reading, traveling, camping with her horses, enjoying God’s beautiful outdoors and animals on horseback, and enjoying a good cup of coffee or glass of red wine.
Brent Rivers
Medicare and Individual Policies Specialist
Brent was born and raised in the Brainerd Lakes area. Currently he lives in Brainerd with his spouse Andria, has 2 daughters and 2 grandchild. His free time he likes to spend at the lake enjoying the boat fishing or just taking in the sun with friends and family.
Brent brings more than two decades of insurance experience, beginning his career in 2003. At Trinity Business Partners, he specializes in Medicare and Individual Health Insurance, helping clients understand their options and choose plans that best fit their needs.
Stacy Nelson-O'Connell
Senior Accounting Specialist
Stacy graduated with honors in Accounting from Central Lakes College and has over 25 years of experience working in the Finance and Accounting industry. She is a business professional that provides accounting support with a high level of organization and top-notch customer service. Stacy has owned her own business and understands the importance of keeping timely and accurate records.
She is passionate about helping others and is a Certified Oola Life Coach & Oola Ambassador, assisting individuals in recognizing their life’s dreams & goals while helping them get past the challenges they face.
Stacy grew up in Ironton Minnesota and is a married mother of four. When she is not helping clients, she enjoys a good cup of coffee and spending time with family and friends.
Brandy Yetzer
Senior CSR/Licensed Agent, Claims Support and Office Administrator
Brandy has over 30 years of experience in office and customer service work. In October 2020, she started working for Trinity Business Partners, and in 2022, she obtained her license to provide health insurance. Her knowledge of business covers a broad spectrum, including software applications and best administrative practices. Furthermore, she demonstrates a willingness to share her knowledge and acquire new skills.
In 2003, she and her spouse relocated from Clearwater, Minnesota, to the Brainerd Lakes region, settling on 70 acres with their growing family. Born and raised in a close-knit family, she spent her childhood hiking and picking berries in the wooded areas of the Mesabi Iron Range. In addition to spending time together and watching movies or cooking shows, Brandy and her husband enjoy spending time with their two adult children, going on pontoon rides on their small lake, picking berries, fishing, canoeing, and being entertained by their two cats and one dog.
Jaclyn Taylor
Licensed Benefits & Claims Support Agent
Over the years, Jaclyn has applied her skills in bookkeeping, accounting, human resources, and administrative support across a variety of organizations. She is known for her ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering organized, high-quality support to both colleagues and clients. Passionate about problem-solving and service, Jaclyn is driven by opportunities to help others and create positive experiences for those she works with.
Emma Mills
Human Resources Advisor
Emma began her career in the hospitality and customer service industry, where she developed a strong foundation in people-focused roles. After earning her degree in psychology, she pursued an internship in human resources, which sparked her passion for the field. Since then, she’s immersed herself in HR, where she enjoys finding creative solutions to workplace challenges and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
Emma is working toward becoming a licensed benefit agent. She is excited to continue expanding her knowledge and network with Trinity Business Partners. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and being on the water, reading, and cooking. Emma recently moved to the North Metro area but has deep roots in the Brainerd Lakes area, where she was born and raised.
Chellsy Elling
Benefits and Advisor Assistant
Chellsy currently lives outside of Brainerd and was raised in Deerwood, Minnesota. She obtained her medical scribe certificate, dental assistant diploma, dental assistant A.A.S. degree, and AA degree after graduating from Crosby-Ironton High School.
Prior to joining the Trinity Business Partners team, Chellsy primarily worked in early childhood education and healthcare. As part of the office support staff, she is learning that every day brings something different to flex her skills and stretch her knowledge.
When Chellsy is not at work, she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend, their kids, and most of all, her dog. When not spending time with her family, she enjoys crafting and talking on the phone with friends.
Bailee Frame
Client and Claims Support Representative
A proud native of the area, Bailee graduated from Brainerd High School as part of the Class of 2020. Her passion for community and service was discovered during her time at the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce, where she served as the Membership Director. This experience solidified her love for connecting with people, problem-solving, and making a tangible impact, nurturing her commitment to helping anyone she can and constantly learning new things.
Beyond her professional life, she is deeply dedicated to her personal growth, especially in her faith. Her drive to be a positive influence extends to every aspect of her life, as she actively seeks opportunities to serve and lead within her community.
When she is not focused on service, you can find her embracing the outdoors. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, searching for agates, or just relaxing on a lake with her boyfriend. During the colder Minnesota months, she swaps the hiking boots for craft supplies and enjoys working on a variety of crafts or hobbies indoors, often with the "help" of her two beloved cats.
